I was looking through the lonely prompts from comment fic. :)
Scott tried to stop staring. He couldn’t help it though, the way she kept unconsciously biting her lip. He was supposed to be working on his lesson plans. The library was quite, the kids tended to stay away from it.
She was studying for one of her classes, engineering, from the looks of the books piled in front of her. It hadn’t taken long for her to finish the few high school credits she left when she arrived at Xavier’s. Now she was working on a degree from the local community college. He hadn’t asked her what she was majoring in, not wanting to hear her say something that would end with her leaving the mansion.
She looked up, catching him staring. He mumbled sorry at her, going back to his own homework. Head down, he missed her smiling as she pushed the white strands of hair back behind her ear.
gee, wonder why I couldn't turn that one down. :D
