well, it's been a long time.
Nov. 11th, 2009 09:40 pmSo my baby is now 4 and 1/2 months old. I personally think he's the most adorable baby ever. And so does everyone who's seen him. :)
and this is how he got here.
The early morning hours of the day i was suppose to go in to be induced, my water broke. Off to the hospital we went at three in the morning. I was one centimeter dilated when we got there. at 7am when my doctor got there, i was still one centimeter. they started me on pictocin to help move things along.
i got the drugs not because the contractions were strong, but because they were pretty constant.
at 12 my doctor came in and checked on me. i was about 3 centimeters. at two she came back, and we decided that he wasn't going to move any further. She said we could wait, or go ahead and plan a c section. so at 4 i went into surgery.
at 4:10, the alien was born. He was covered in green mucus, and had the cord wrapped around his neck three times. guess he figured he needed to stop. :)
we stayed in the hospital for five days, due to the c section and his low blood sugar.
he was 8 pound, 21 & 1/2 inches on June 17th.
at his four month appointment he was 15 pounds and 26 & 1/2 inches.
as of right now, he's probably 16 pounds.
we're giving him orange veggies, and just started bananas today.
he can roll, and loves to talk.
As for me, I'm a stay at home mom right now. Trying to find some type of work that I can do at home, or something that pays really well.
I've been spending more time on facebook, just because it doesn't require a lot of thinking on my part. oh my. mostly it's just to get my brain to quite down after spending all day with the baby. i am on twitter as roguewords. it's not an everyday all the time type thing, but i do try to keep up with it.
i was fairly certain i was going to drop off the internet after the alien was born, i just didn't realize how long it was going to be for.
